7 Of The Best is an online football prediction game that invites players to make weekly football predictions for the chance to win £1,000,000. 7OTB approached Bumbl prior to launch in order to develop and execute a digital strategy that would build awareness, generate players and maintain player engagement.

The Challenge

The football vertical is incredibly competitive in the UK, as fans are bombarded with messages from the media, sports networks, players, pundits, teams and fan communities etc. Cutting through this noise and earning a share of voice would be the key challenge. We would need to create ads and content that football fans would not only welcome in their news feeds – but that would offer an alternative to the abundance of content that is already shared daily.

The Solution

We developed a social media strategy for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram that included targeted, localised ads and organic content that responded to daily events and football culture. We took advantage of video, statistics, news and match analysis to build an engaged audience, while Influencers were used alongside paid media to spread brand messages to hundreds of thousands of football fans around the UK and Ireland.
